The demands on the professional athlete’s body during the season, and their ability to remain at peak performance and execute as expected can often be a challenge. Pilates is an essential and effective partner to the modalities most often used by professional sports teams. In conjunction with strength and conditioning, nutrition and the medical and Chiropractic approach to healing and recovery, a sport specific Pilates based program can help keep athletes in top form while practicing, performing or rehabilitating.

IN-SEASON

P4P SIGNATURE SESSION

 50 or 80 minute customized sessions focus on active recovery, muscle regeneration, flexibility and pain relief. The P4P method incorporates low intensity exercises, passive and active stretching and myofascial release to improve circulation, reduce muscle fatigue and prevent common overuse injuries. Each program is designed around the athlete’s sport, position, and competition schedule. P4P clients leave feeling properly aligned, agile and energized.

30 minutes of targeted stretching to reduce muscle soreness, fatigue and stiffness. Light muscle activation exercises are followed by assisted stretching.

ON/OFF SITE GROUP SESSION

Small or large group sessions can be customized to compliment team training protocols. Elements of Pilates, yoga, corrective exercise and active stretching can be designed to meet the coaches and trainers guidelines.

OFF-SEASON

STUDIO PILATES
(PRIVATE OR SEMI-PRIVATE)

Sessions utilize various Pilates apparatus (reformer, trapeze table, ladder barrel and chair) to improve core stability, balance, flexibility and overall strength. Customized warm up techniques and stretch routines will be developed for each athlete to use throughout the season.

FUNCTIONAL CONDITIONING
(PRIVATE OR GROUP)

Cardiovascular conditioning, TRX, plyometrics and resistance training aid in reducing body fat, increasing endurance, improving agility and preparing the the athlete for the season ahead.

POST-REHAB

 

Customized sessions include collaboration with athlete’s physical therapists and doctors to help regain mobility and re-establish healthy movement patterns after rehabilitating an injury. Any combination of P4P services can be combined to assist athletes in a speedy recovery and seamless transition back to training or competition.

REMOTE TRAINING

Ongoing communication with out of town athletes to keep specialized P4P programs consistent with their training cycle and goals. 30 or 60 minute sessions available via phone, FaceTime or Skype. Out of town sessions may also be planned.
